Online Access


The Review of Metaphysics does not directly offer online access to its contents.  The tables of contents and the book review indices of the most recent issues can be found here. However, there are several intermediary ways to access its contents:

POIESIS: Print subscribers are eligible to receive online access to the contents of all of the issues of the Review through POIESIS: Philosophy Online Serials.  Please visit their website for policies and rates.
JSTOR: The Review of Metaphysics is now available through JSTOR.  JSTOR will provide access to all of the issues of the Review.  The most recent issues will available after a three year delay; thus, JSTOR currently offers all articles from 1947-2007.Individuals may also purchase individual articles and book reviews from JSTOR for $12 each.
Gale Thompson: Online Access to issues of the Review since 1992 is also provided by Gale Thompson
EBSCO: The Review is now available through EBSCOHost due to their recent acquisition of H.W. Wilson and to a newly-formed partnership with the Review. The Review from 1994 to the present is available through EBSCO's Academic Search Premiere and Humanities Databases.
Proquest: Online access since 1997 is provided by a number of ProQuest’s databases.  Please contact ProQuest for more information.
Amazon: Recent individual articles of the Review can be purchased at Amazon.
Questia: Finally, a number of articles from the Review are available through Questia’s philosophy section.
